Wonders of Creation: The Cosmos
In the beginning God created the heavens and earth (Gen 1:1-26). The word cosmos (or Universe) refers to the whole.
We are so infinitely small compared to the entire universe. In 2021 NASA launched the James Webb Space Telescope and it has been sending back some stunning photos.
In the beginning God created the heavens and earth (Gen 1:1-26).
“The creation shows forth [God’s] wisdom and power; notwithstanding its inherent ambiguities, it bears witness to God’s steadfast love and care. The majesty of God, reflected in the creation, is a reason for worshiping and thanksgiving, for trusting and obeying God,”
William Lazareth in Confessing the One Faith
Scriptures to Ponder
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands; –Acts 17:24
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visits Him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. –Psalm 8:3-5
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns. – Revelation 19:6
