Enduring the End Times

ENDURING THE END TIMES  / Author:  Sonia McDonald

When using human observations we seem to be heading quickly toward the  “end-of-this-age”, which is both disconcerting and also wildly exciting to think we could be alive to witness the long-awaited return of our Savior and King.

The Bible is written in such a way that each generation thinks the momentous event could be in their lifetime, which is very good to keep us all aware, on our toes, and keeping us close to our Father and Christ–aiming to do His will.

Nobody knows when they will take their last breath in any case, so it is vital to keep close to God:  in Covenant with Him always, repenting when we sin and asking for His mercy, help and grace, so we may overcome our own wicked hearts and this evil world in which we live.

We can only do this through the help of His Holy Spirit dwelling within us.  With this indwelling we will grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, and display more of the fruit of the Spirit, displaying more and more the agape love that IS Christ and The Father.  Christ in His own words, said, “Even so, when you see these things happening, you know the Kingdom of God is near” (Luke 21:31).

Looking at all the headlines worldwide and seeing how people are becoming more and more as described in 2 Timothy 3:2, we would be led to think it won’t be long now.

Only the Father knows the hour and the day, but we can and are told to watch the season.

Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.Luke 21: 36

God Being all Powerful, Almighty and Merciful will be with us throughout the End Times. Christ promised He would NEVER leave us nor forsake us even to the end of the age. We can rest assured that He will keep His promise and be there to strengthen, guide and lead us no matter the scenario we face.

We can’t remain faithful through times of trouble without His help, and the Faith of Christ. To develop this Faith, we must be diligent to study God’s Word, and keep in constant touch, via prayer with our Father and our Christ, fasting where possible to humble ourselves before our Lord. Keeping His Commandments shows Him we love Him.

Whatever we face and have to endure we can be assured God will give us His Holy Spirit, when needed, to strengthen us to get through.  Just as God did with Steven in Acts. God loves us and is merciful and our reward is great!

We have to prepare daily, as we never know our own personal ‘End Time’.  The same principles apply: pray, obey and faithfully endure to the end.  There awaits a crown for us, with Christ calling us, “His good and faithful servants.”

God our Father is awesome, His plans are awesome, and He loved us enough to give His only begotten Son for us! He wants us to be with Him in His Kingdom.  It is up to us to make sure we are there, praying for His help, repenting, offering forgiveness to others.

May our glorious Father strengthen our Faith and help us to be His loving children, in good times and the tough the times that lie ahead.

Let us always be the sheep, caring for and helping others through the difficulties, not like the selfish goats thinking of ourselves and our own well being. The reward in heaven is great for us, if we keep our hearts right, with God’s help.

  • **EXCELLENT**!! Thank You!! “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2) “Be still, and know that I am God!” (Psalm 46:10)
