Come to Me

“Come To Me” is an original poem inspired by the scripture Matthew 11:28. In this passage, we are told to go to Jesus in our times of trouble and hardship, seeking the peace and strength that only God can provide.

Amidst the sadness in the world, this poem reflects the comfort and hope found in God’s Word, reminding us of the rest and healing He offers.

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28

Come to Me

Come to me when your burdens are heavy

Come to me in your tears

Come to me, when your heart fills with sorrow

And I will give you Rest

The Rest  that calms in the dark of night

That only I can give

The Rest that wipes all your tears away

And brings to you my gift of Peace

Take my yoke, and learn of me

Place my laws in your heart

Take my yoke for light is the burden

And I will give you Life

The Life that wakes when the trumpet sounds

That only I can give

The Life that lasts for eternity

And you will reign with me
